MED only supports stereo sound, which is fine, but because I have my Audigy plugged into a full 5.1 surround system, MED only outputs to my left and right speakers. So I don't get any bass. Which makes it really hard to get the "right" mix. Any workarounds?

Usually, there is some sort of circuit (prologic or something) in the soundcard drivers or supplemental software, that allows to split the material, so that the part goes into the subwoofer.
Med is going to support only stereo, so I would say, it's a matter of configuring the system. It might be a way to achieve it through DirectSound settings. For instance, Revolution (consumer) card of the same range as Audigy has special Bass control panel.

I found it, thanks. Because I am a fussy so-and-so I never install anything other than the drivers. There is a (horrible) piece of software you can install that lets you choose the crossover frequency etc.
