I've got a looped sample that I want sliding upwards in pitch very quickly and for a relatively long time, ending in a very high pitched note.
I have tried doing this with all the available pitch slide commands and for whatever reason the sample simply stops playing after a short pitch slide upwards.
Pictured below is what I'm trying to achieve, this time using command 01:
The grey marker is where the sample stops playing. I need it to continue sliding upwards in pitch until it reaches the B-6 note, ending up at a very high pitch.
Why does this happen, and is there any way of making a continuous slide upwards without the sample cutting out?
Many thanks in advance

Not tried this for a long time but have you tried using commands :
11/12
OR
0FFD
Dont know quite if these will do it but worth a try !

Tried those, to no avail. What happens with any type of pitch slide I try is the sample starts sliding upwards till a certain point (sounds like an octave, but I'm not that hot on music theory), then stops sliding regardless of the command that's entered.
Here is a sample of the kind of thing I'm trying to achieve, made using the advanced technique of dragging the pitch shift slider in Soundforge by hand: http://www.urbanbomb.co.uk/bongopitch.mp3
I can get a bigger range in MED by entering ascending notes and sliding the pitch by using the 03 poramento command with a fast slide speed, but then I'm limited by the range of the lowest and highest note range, if you see what I mean. I need to be able to slide higher...
Any ideas?

Ok im guess your going into tools/generate pitch slide ?
Instead go to generate slides and play with setting for pitch slide (ie coarse/fine tune)
If that doesnt do it then all i can think is the med pitch slides dont quite cover the range
