Eveything I've listened to so far has been the standard fare from trackers. (I'm not saying this isn't good stuff!) I was wondering if anybody made music that didn't follow this pattern?

Yes.

I was thinking more on the lines of this.

A Very British Tragedy
<<Right click and SAVE AS>>

This is an old Amiga mod By a Bloke called Mick Hunt. I reviewed this when he first sent it to MUG, It was one of the best things I'd heard and was facsinated by the way the thing was constructed. If you load it into SS, you'll see what I mean. Some blocks contain just 1 line!

Unfortunately, it doesn't play quite right but it's close enough.

Its certainly an interesting way of constructing the song, and using a very small number of samples too...god remember those days when we had limits..lol.

Just had a thought, theres a track on the med website, under Med Music Files, Called Mentorship, By Jerome Carter, which might interest you.

Want something a bit different huh?
Okay, try this!

It's a zipped mmd file called "Nightmare (aka The Darkest Lullaby)".

Thats a great track! Good stuff Blue. I do like to hear things that are slightly different!

Any more like this?

I'm afraid I don't have much of my (med)stuff available. If you go to one of my sites, you'll find a track called 'STORM' that was originally created on med. I later re-recorded it in Cakewalk but the basic track is much the same with added guitars at the end!

Glad you liked it biggrin.gif

The majority of my music is done with Med but I then export the tracks into Cubase and fiddle around with them. It also allows me to add more dynamics to my music by using DX/VST's etc., in addition to being able to layer some synths on top etc.,

Most of my music is chill out techno classical in style but now and again I tend to stray to the dark and simple side.

At the moment my music is limited because I'm deleting a lot of it from my soundclick account and uploading them to my website so take a gander over there and grab some tracks. They are all free.
