I am currently using version 1.4.

I have recently been using a Yamaha keyboard - PSR-K1 to enter notes.

With this keyboard are a set of USB midi drivers.

If I load these drivers, then Med will no longer run. The splash screen will appear advising that the program is loading but nohing happens.

Once I remove the drivers, it will work again.

Ive had similiar experience with drivers in the past

Does the keyboard work without these drivers ok (IE Does it get reconised by windows straight off and does it function ok ?)

If so and these drivers arent required (sometimes the case in xp) then do without them

Only other thing i can sugest to you is the 1.7 upgrade as 1.4 is a tad out of date now (cant promise that will solve it but try the demo version and see if it that sorts it )

Are you running any AV programs in the background? Sometimes they can cause strange conflicts with other software. Try disabling the AV and see if that does anything.
