I'm writing a tune using a looped sine wave bassline, but as expected it is clicking like mad whenever a new note is played.
How can I stop this from happening? I have tried using the 03 portamento command to create a short 1-2 line slide, but it never seems to slide it to the note I want, making it pretty much useless.
How does everyone get around this problem?
Many thanks in advance for any help

Any clicks I get when re-triggering samples are removed by offsetting the sample start point (command 19). It's hit and miss, but I usually find values from 01 to 1F sync with the point at which the sample was cut and re-started. Does that make sense? It's a pain to do but it works. I find it's best to go through a piece of music and eliminate clicks once it's finished, otherwise making changes only negates this effort during composition. Hope this helps.

The slider command should achieve your desired note almost instantly if you use 003FF (the highest speed), and for ending a note try using the fastest decay: 00D0F.
Otherwise if it's a sine bass, you could also set a lo-pass cutoff filter on the channel to minimise the high-frequency clicks.
