Hello, me again.

How many things can I possibly plug? More than four, that's for certain.

Cllick here to be magically transported to my brand new MySpace page, which contains nothing but piano tracks of a jazzy/bluesy nature.

Cheers,

Steve

Shouldn't you add the link to your signature, Mr G?

stevethekeys- 09-19-2006
Oops... thanks RooH. My signature's getting bloody ridiculous.

It makes my signature look very small by comparison. I have signature envy.

Very cool listening Steve, I can hear your keyboard experience in the recordings. wink.gif
how long have u been playng piano?

I was going to change my signature to: "Even Luke Skywalker can get sunburn from his own lightsaber", but I fear the wrath of the Gods. Ahh.. to dare is to learn.

Thanks very much, Tempogrid! I've been playing since I was about 10 or 11, and got my first piano at about 15. How about you - do you play?

I've optimised my signature by removing the spaces between links, thus reducing the length of this post by roughly 33%...

I always played around on my parents piano for fun, and only had official piano lessons to "grade 1". I have 3 keyboards: a casio p1-2, a casio mt-60, and a broken yamaha psr-38, which needs rusty diodes replaced.
I have most of my experience on the computer keyboard (I had to replace my Amiga 1200's keyboard 'cos I wore it out!), and have a commands/sequencial style of composition, I use MEDs play-while-scrolling option to build up a track polyphonically.

However, I too am having a little trouble with "play-while-scrolling", as I can only have a maximum of 8 tracks playing-back-whilst-scrolling. Sometimes only 1 track is audible during key scrolling, which is recoverable to 8 tracks if I re-boot MED.(on PC)

Do you reckon this could be a limited soundcard problem???

I am also learning to use MED's new programmable keys.

sorry to take so long to reply. TG.

Hey Tempogrid - no problem!

Your play-while-scrolling problem may well be the soundcard (or drivers), especially if it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. If you're using anything older than an Audigy I'd definitely consider upgrading.

It may also be worth making sure that StickyKeys and FilterKeys are off (Control Panel - Accessibility) as they're both bloody annyoing...

I haven't tried using the programmable keys yet. In fact I have about 4 Med tracks nearly complete, but they're all on hold at the moment as I'm still mixing my band's album (on a different program, unfortunately...)

Happy New Year!
Steve
