It's 90% Med, 10% Reason (for the piano solo at the end), and is a retro funk synth extravaganza, possibly.
Hope you like it!

Crap title but very good tune! It reminded me a bit of the music to the Amiga game Turrican 2 until that bril piano solo started. I be downloading this one.

Nice one RooH! Thanks for the kind words.
Maybe I should start a 'name my MP3s' thread. I currently have 'Synth 2' and 'Nice Guitar' in the works. Any suggestions?

It may not be wise to ask for song title suggestions from the creator of "My Lucky Socks aren't Lucky Anymore" and "If Wishes were Fishes, We'd All Live by the Sea" but given synthmp3's evocation of tunes Turrican (IMHO the very best game tunes ever) I'd go for "Bonus Level" or "Here be Dragons". I've played this song lots, hoping for title inspiration but that's it I'm afraid. I usually go for something scientific sounding like "Plank Length" or "Awareness Spectrum" or my latest clever name for an acid house style track = Limehouse: like acid house but alkaline.
Why not share with us how you made your tune? There are many ways to use MED and I, for one, am always ready to learn.

There's nothing wrong with 'My Lucky Socks aren't Lucky Anymore'. It's poignant and hints at a dark commentary on modern life, and socks.
Usually when I write a track I don't have a clear idea of what form it'll take before I start, but rather let sample choice and experimentation dictate the direction. This one was different though - I had the main riff and knew I wanted a piano solo at the end, and had a rough idea of the structure before I started.
I used a mixture of drumloops, single hits to beef them up and make them more interesting, med synth sounds (loads of them!) and normal samples.
When I'd finished the Med side of things, I saved the whole thing as a wav which I loaded into Reason 2.5 for some mastering and to add some live bits, including the piano solo at the end.
Oh, and it's now officially known as 'Bonus Level', ta!

Excellent tune, Steve, I particulary like the live piano solo at the end, very funky/jazzy.
Nice one.

Thanks David, glad you like it!

MED synth sounds eh? Always been a black art to me. I need synths I go to Dreamstation (easy synths, rubbish sequencer). I like the idea of using drumloops with single hits to beef them up (and add a little variation). I guess you could use sample start offsett to use the actual sounds from the drum loop so it sounds more natural if that's the right word for drum machine loops.
Glad you like the title suggestion - gonna play it again now it has a new name.
