I'm trying to save modules as .mid files, but MED just crashes with an access violation. I have tried versions 1 and 1.7a on a Win ME (PIII 300mhz, 512mb ram) and my new laptop Win XP SP2, Pentium M 2Ghz with 1 gig ram. I get the same result every time, regardless of module or computer. Both are clean installs of the OS and Med is the only program running.
My first thoughts were the Yamaha or Midisport MIDI drivers but v1 on the Win ME machine gave the same error and that has no MIDI ports.
Can anyone help? My current project requires .mid files on floppy disk for a keyboard and I'm really stuck. Is there any other way to convert MED mods to SMF files?
